Handling Vaccine Hesitancy

India’s rural population comprises approximately 67% of the total Indian population. This population happens to be the most vulnerable to COVID-19 because of the fragile healthcare facilities, unavailability of health personnel in rural areas, ignorance, and illiteracy. It is alarming to see that a majority of the rural population is still not vaccinated and is not even willing to get the shot.

The rural infrastructure to support vaccination is another challenge leading to low vaccination and causing vaccine hesitancy among rural masses.
