Rajasthan: Subedars Should be Submissive The departure of Mohan Lai Sukhadia from the Chief Ministership of Rajasthan is likely to be of much wider significance than being purely a matter of Rajasthani concern. Sukhadia is reported to have said that his decision to resign was due to an “inner urge”. Chief Ministers rarely resign for spiritual reasons and Sukhadia is no exception. Obviously, he was at the receiving end of considerable political pressures and so made some swift political calculations before making his dramatic announcement.
