Institutes of Agricultural Eminence

This is a response to the article “Road Map for Agricultural Technology Transfer and Commercialisation” (EPW, 26 October 2019). The article covers agricultural extension systems, institutional frameworks, establishment of technology managers’ network platforms, and strengthening of agricultural extension systems.
It features various institutions which are related to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). However, the contribution of agricultural universities, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) have not been discussed in the article. Therefore, I would like to bring to your notice the following points.
