Glimpses from the Past: Life at the Hub

This piece was originally published in the 29 February 1964 issue of the Economic WeeklyEPW brings you this article from its rich achives to foster debate and discussion on issues that remain as relevant now as it was back then.

Abstract of the Article: The author reflects on the cultural and intellectual life of India's capital Delhi, which was back then still considered backward in comparison to the cosmopolitan character of Mumbai (erstwhile Bombay) and Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta).
