Illegality of Operation 'Geronimo'

The conspirators were seated in the Situation Room of the White House witnessing the political assassination of Osama bin Laden (OBL); the latter’s murder was confirmed with the coded message: “Geronimo KIA” (killed in action). OBL was code-named “Geronimo” – his imperial enemies did not even realise that they were equating him with a legendary indigenous leader of the resistance against genocidal invasion.

The president of the United States, Barack Obama, was judge, jury and executioner. Yes, this was an extrajudicial execution carried out by an order of the US government outside the bounds of any judicial framework. It was unlawful and would have been so even if it was part of an ongoing war.
