In connection with proceedings of the genocide tribunal being held in C ambodia, the leading publications in the United States are regularly publishing ghastly details of massacres committed by Khmer Rouge leaders like the late Pol Pot, Ieng Sary and Khieu Samphan. One may be forgiven for suspecting that the reports are designed to bolster the current ruling-class myth that socialist revolutions equate mass murder.

While holding no brief for reckless political adventurism and for a lack of r espect for human life, I feel duty-bound to remind readers of certain notable facts, especially because a section of the Left tends to go along with such allegations.
