The response of the Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee (DMSC) Kolkata (March 10, 2007) to my article ‘National AIDS Control Programme: A Critique’ (January 13, 2007) does not refute the substantive facts stated by me.
I have not claimed facts from any new DMSC survey conducted among new recruits only. The figures of new recruits are culled from their own follow-up surveys of their project which began in 1992. I have referred to their surveys till 2001, covering a decade’s existence.
