From 50 Years Ago Kerala Policy Statement.

The first policy statement issued by the Communist Government in Kerala does no more than underline the election manifesto o f the pa r ty. The r e i s nothing new or revolutionary; such statements could have come from any Congress Government. The only difference is...that Communists will try to carry out the programme outlined in the policy statement; they may hasten the pace.

A close examination of the statement also indicates that the Ministry has, at least outwardly, no ready made solution to the various problems facing it nor does it seem to have sized up the magnitude of the problems adequately. The statement is full of good intentions...
