Reminiscences- Krishna Raj

Krishna Raj joined the Delhi School of Economics one year after I did. I knew him almost from the day he joined and we remained friends since then. We talked at length over the phone or, more infrequently met, during my visits. Whenever I visited Mumbai he was always there in his cubbyhole at Hitkari House surrounded by piles of books and manuscripts. He almost never travelled out of Mumbai and not for lack of invitations. As he said, he would rather be seen through the work he did in the EPW. He was not a high profile
