The Economic Factor A correspondent writes: THERE is no theory of war which ignores the economic factors that ultimately lead nations to engage in war. One does not have to be a votary of the view that economic factors alone lead to wars to recognise the significant role that economic factors play even though the immediate causes may be non-economic.
