Running Dry IN a pathetic admission of failure on a most crucial front, the central health ministry has said that it would not be able to extend the Revised National TB Control Programme, launched in March 1997, to the entire country as was originally intended. It can hardly be a consolation to the many critics of the disease control programme of the government that the decades of disarray and mis-planning on that front are now yielding predictable outcomes.
