Focus on Captive Power Plants THE three corn panics, namely, Tata Power Company. Andhra Valley Power Supply Company and Tata Hydro-Electric Power Supply Company, are collectively known as the Tata Electric Companies, The three companies from the Tata stable operate as one company and share their profits/losses in a predetermined ratio. Consequently, the fortunes of the three companies are invariably intertwined. Tata Electric has been supplying power to Maharashtra for the past 82 years. Though the company once also supplied to areas extending to Pune, Its supply has now been curtailed to the city of Bombay.
