Nuclear Tests- A Health Perspective

THE Medico Friend Circle (MFC) is an all-India organisation of health professionals actively involved in diverse health issues over the last 25 years. At their mid-annual meeting on July 8 at Sewagram it considered the recent nuclear explosions in India and Pakistan and felt that the health aspects of these developments are as important as their political dimensions, but have hardly been debated in public. In protest against the nuclear tests in India and Pakistan, the MFC presents the following critique of the 'nuclear technology' from a health perspective.
