EPW Research Foundation RALLIS INDIA Marketing Alliances RALLIS INDIA, a Tata group company, saw its net sales and value of production rise by 20 per cent and 5.4 per cent respectively, in 1996-97. Though operating profits improved by 24.1 per cent over the previous year, a steep rise in interest charges (up 56.8 per cent)t depreciation provision (up 42.3 per cent) and tax provision (up 76,1 per cent) led to a somewhat lower rise in net profit (up 6.2 per cent).
