Secular Rhetoric of Congress

THIS is in response to a letter published in EPW (February 28) wholeheartedly endorsing the appeal of the Delhi-based Committee for the Defence of Secularism, asking people to vote against the BJP. The provocation for the response comes from the tenor of the letter and its isolating the BJP as the sole repository of communal politics in contemporary India.
