All Terrain Growth THE second largest player in the organised cycle industry, Atlas Cycle Industries saw a mixed performance during the year 1996-97. While the company's net sales and value of production were virtually stable compared to the previous year, 1995-96, its operating profit surged by 21.4 per cent over the same period. But with sharp increases in interest charges (up 35.8 per cent), depreciation (up 30.4 per cent) and tax provision (up 122.2 per cent), the company's bottomline fell drastically by 19.7 per cent.
