Restoring Autonomy in Management of National Economy

of National Economy S P Shukla THE major task facing us in the economic sphere is to make a determined and concerted bid to restore a measure of autonomy in the management of the national economy. The short interval of the UF rule at the centre has not been able to make significant departures in this direction. There are three important features of the process of the so- called globalisation which need to be highlighted in this connection. Each one of them will have to be countered and resisted, both at the level of the government as well as that of the people, if we wish to restore and preserve our autonomy in economic management.
