ARVIND MILLS- Capacity Expansion

EPW Research Foundation THE country's largest denim fabric and garment producer, Arvind Mills saw a mixed performance in 1996-97. While net sales and value of production improved by 22.9 per cent and 22 per cent, respectively, the company's net profit declined by 30.6 per cent over the previous year. This despite a 30.5 percent increase in its operating profit during the same period.
