IMF has come forth with what may be characterised as its post-election agenda for India. Though the so-called reform process has admittedly slowed down because of political uncertainties and democratic constraints, the IMF is obviously sanguine that it will make further headway and has prescribed extension of the reforms to agriculture, the labour market and public enterprises on which, according to IMF's assessment, "little has been done" so far.
