Strike Statistics Conceptual Issues

A careful review of quantitative studies of strikes in India suggests that most are methodologically unsound, analytically poor and theoretically bankrupt. Nor do they use sophisticated tools of analysis. There is a dearth of interest in the nature of strike statistics in India.
