Kirloskar Kisan Equipment (KKE) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, which is now being revived. KKE has ventured into consultation in, and erection of, post-harvesting agricultural equipment. KOEL has also taken over the management of the Prashant Khosla Pneumatics, a sick company having facilities for manufacture of diesel engine components. The company has incurred an expenditure of Rs 99 lakh for research and development which is low compared to last year's figure of Rs 135 lakh. Because of its own R and D the company claims to have fully absorbed the foreign technologies it has imported during the past five years for diesel engines and noise and emission control.
