Sale of canned fruit and vegetable products improved by 35 per cent in volume terms to 3,405 mt and by 52 per cent in value terms to Rs 9:9 crore. Though sales of the company's engineering unit fell in volume terms from 41 machines in the previous year to 31, realisation once again improved. Total exports more than trebled during the year and accounted for 9.2 per cent of net sales as against a mere 2.5 per cent last year following better value realisation from the African, West Asia and far eastern markets.
