EPW Research Foundation KESORAM INDUSTRIES (KI), the flagship company of the B K Birla group, is a highly diversified company manufacturing automobile tyres and tubes, rayon yarn and cellophane paper, refractories, cement, textiles, spun pipes, etc. Profitability took a severe beating in 1992-93 with the company posting a net loss of Rs 24.4 crore despite a 40 per cent rise in net sales over the previous year.
