EPW Research Foundation INCORPORATED in 1984, Flex Engineering is a profit-making, dividend-paying company engaged in the manufacture and marketing of form filling and sealing machines, slitting/inspection machines and printing and lamination machines which are used in the flexible packaging industry. The company is now undertaking a project to increase its capacity to 576 machines per year at a total cost of Rs 6.1 crore. The project will also enable the company to manufacture advanced packaging machines like biscuit wrapping machines, brick packaging machines and vertical form filling and sealing machines. The Flex group, to which the company belongs, has gained leadership in flexible packaging material. Further, the company has supplied its machines to established companies like Brooke Bond, Ester Industries, Procter & Gamble India, Ravalgaon Sugar and Dabur India. To part finance the above project the company is entering the capital market on November 1 with a public issue of 10,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 40 per share.
