No Conflict of Interest THE person whom the government in its wisdom had chosen to preside over the privatisation of public sector units has now been forced to leave the Planning Commission, of which he was a member He has since been arrested on grave charges of financial malfeasance. The law will of course take its own course, and the fate of the former member of the Planning Commission will be decided in some manner or the other. But are not there certain other ramifications of the episode which deserve a closer look?
