Following that, while sales increased 58 per cent, net profit improved 77 per cent. Higher sales and improved efficiency boosted profits, according to the directors. The trend is likely to be better still this year with the products of the Gangappa industries division having been well received by original equipment manufacturers like Kirloskar, Lucas TVS, Bajaj Auto and others and the unit having achieved cash break-even during the last year.
