SIDBI, in respect of non-refinancable loans in order to make these units nationally competitive. Meanwhile, for the seventh year running PICUP has maintained its number one position in state- level industrial and investment corporations in the country, having sanctioned during 1991-92 loans of Rs 172 crore and disbursed Rs 108 crore with recoveries amounting to Rs 88 crore, which were all all-time highs. Its net profit increased 150 per cent over the previous year and cash accruals by 80 per cent. For the first time PICUP announced Rs 2 crore of interim dividend which was the highest payment any public sector company in UP had ever made to the state government.
