AM THE Boros and the ULFA had shown the way; stopping the movement, from across a state, of oil and tea was child's play. Now it was the turn of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha: it was equally easy, they have proved, to prevent the movement out of a state of coal, mica, iron ore, other minerals and forest products. Some violence was there, but on a relatively moderate scale. We however exist in temporary situations. This moderation could well evaporate and tempers begin to fray once members of this or that determined group get into the feeling they were being taken too often for a ride.
