PUBLIC SECTOR REFORM-Not So Invisible Hand

PM Purchases Temporary Reprieve TO the long list of measures undertaken to preserve the nation's unity and integrity has been added the dismissal of the DMK ministry in Tamil Nadu and the dissolution of the State assembly only two years into its term. It has been publicly indicated that the dismissal was made inescapable by the DMK government's extension of hospitality to LTTE militants which allegedly caused the law and order machinery in the State to collapse. The fact that the soft approach to the LTTE had actually been inaugurated by the AIADMK when it was in power necessitated more damaging allegations to be made to justify the DMK ministry's dismissal. So the ministry has been charged with all manner of seditious nexuses that the intelligence agencies are so adept at contriving at a short notice.
