On EPW DHARMA KUMAR's onslaught on EPW editorial policy (August 3-10) makes curious reading. A definite "party line" is being imposed through "censorship", and yet it remains unclear to her what that line is (" l am not sure of the exact category . ."). Editorial policy has led to "stateness, repetitiveness and predictability1', but the special articles chosen by the same editorial team somehow remain compulsive reading for a "very large number of people". A plea for intellectual freedom includes the clear hint that the board of trustees should be less "supine"
