Election Game in Punjab BOTH the ruling party at the centre and the national opposition parties are entertaining us with an amusing charade at the expense of Punjab. The opportunity was provided by parliament when it passed a bill cancelling election in Punjab (which was scheduled to be held on September 23), and a resolution extending president's rule in the state by another six months (from November 10 this year, when it expires).
