Fratricidal Clashes or Class War?
NOTWITHSTANDING its incisive portrayal of the current state of affairs in the naxal-dominated districts, and the reaction of Chenna Reddy's government, KBG's article in EPW (August 25) does give scope for serious misgivings about the nature of the clashes between the various ML factions in AP. By characterising the People's War Group as the 'biggest aggressor' and CP Reddy's faction as the 'principal sufferer' in the ongoing 'fratricidal' war, KBG has at last entered a domain which he had hitherto kept out of. For one who had maintained all along that it was not the business of the APCLC to poke its nose into inter-group rivalries, what prompted this sudden volte-face? One does, of course, sympathise with the unenviable predicament in which KBG is placed
