A Boon to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat THE water resources of Narmada river have so far remained largely unutilised. This is the 5th largest river in the country, and flows from highlands of Eastern Madhya Pradesh to the Bay of Cambay in Gujarat, running 1312 kms, draining a basin of 98800 sq kms. It is passing through 3 states, viz, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
