With improved generation during the year, the quantum of power purchased from the Gujarat Electricity Board was brought down to 206 million units as against 450 million units in the preceding year. The sale of energy within the company's system has gone up to 2,063 million units. After taking into account the sale of 70 million units to Gujarat Electricity Board, the total sales increased to 2,133 million units compared to 1,982 million units in 1988-89.
