GAMMON INDIA Large Orders from West Asia GAMMON INDIA has large pending orders on hand valued at Rs 179.54 crore as on March 31, 1989 against Rs 135.36 crore a year ago. The company expects further huge orders from 1989-90 onwards following prospects of securing jobs in the Gulf and other Middle East countries, with the cessation of the Iran-Iraq hostilities and the commencement of reconstruction of war-devastated areas. The management is hopeful of getting good orders at home also in the context of the massive construction activity envisaged at the national level.
