particular norms of conduct will definitely act as a check on the conduct of the judges. It must, however, be emphasised that this article has been written with the full knowledge that an overwhelming majority of judges in this country possess moral character of a high degree and the corrective measures are required to be taken only in respect of some whose conduct is likely to tarnish the image of the entire judiciary.
