THLRE is little reason to be optimistic about the prospect of a satisfactory settlement of the 'Bodoland' issue in the light of the developments in the week that has followed the signing of the tripartite agreement in Delhi on August 28. In the last one week, despite the commitment by the All Bodo Students Union led by Upendranath Brahma (ABSU- UB) to stop violence, more than 30 persons have been killed in the areas claimed for 'Bodoland'.
