Left Squabbles IT is a pity that at a time when unity within the parliamentary Left is crucial for the emergence of a credible alternative to the Congress(I) on the one hand and the medley called National Front on the other, unseemly squabbles are marring relations among the leftist parties. In West Bengal, the RSP (Revolutionary Socialist Party) and the FB (Forward Bloc) have fallen out with the CPI(M) and other partners of the ruling Left Front. In Andhra Pradesh, the CPI and the CPI(M) are embroiled in a running battle, the former accusing the latter of appeasing NTR in his pro-landlord policies.
