For Whom the MPs Weep Opposition parties, including those of the right such as the BJP, are generally ready with their criticism of the government's economic policies as being pro-rich and anti-poor. It is therefore curious, to say the least, that a study group of MPs should be coming forth with recommendations every one of which would further reduce the incidence of taxes on some of the richest sections of our society.
