Telugu poet Varavara Rao is back to jail, for the eighth time in the last twelve years. But this time he voluntarily opted to cancel his bail in the Secunderabad Conspiracy Case and choose imprisonment. In his own words he "forfeited the borrowed freedom on bail in order to enjoy the freedom of writing and the security of life." Hopefully.
