NEW DELHI Aligning Foreign Policy to Economic Liberation BM A HECTIC round of high level meetings and consultations have been going on in New Delhi during the past few weeks for finding ways of dealing with an increasingly tight balance of payments position. The Prime Minister is said to be providing direct leadership in the effort for dealing with an intractable problem which has defied conventional solutions. The reports of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and the Planning Commission on a rapidly worsening balance of payments position is said to have brought home to the Prime Minister the gravity of the problem.
