Political Prisoners

Political Prisoners I HAVE read about Subroto Mukerjee's initiative in the matter of Azizul Huq's release and treatment and the subsequent reports published in different newspapers based on journalists' direct/indirect contact with Azizul Huq himself. It seems to me that Azizul's position is very clear, (i) He does not want to be released on parole alone, but wants release for the sixty-three political prisoners rotting in jails. He is against highlighting an individual and thus shifting the stress from the major issues, (ii) He is against availing himself of the medical facilities offered to him by the state government because political and non-political prisoners are denied of such rights, (iii) For the last one and half years he has been suggesting reform measures for the prison but his requests, till date, have been just ignored.
