Mizoram- Reactions to the Accord
Hospital Deaths Perturbed, 'for a Few Minutes' IN January this year 13 people died because of adverse reaction to a contaminated drug, glycerol which had been administered in the wards of J J Hospital, a government-run institution in Bombay. The findings of the one-man commission inquiring into the incident reveal the shockingly deplorable state of affairs not just in this one institution but in public hospitals everywhere. For, the lapses and the criminal negligence that resulted in the unnecessary deaths are a characteristic feature of the public health system all over the country.
