Bhopal Disaster Circus Instead of Bread EVER since the Bhopal disaster the Madhya Pradesh government has been bent upon establishing the limits of its unconcern, callousness and inhumanity. The latest set of antics of the government are bound to further aggravate the misery of the victims. But that appears to be the aim and objective of the state government. For the victims the new year has begun with the announcement that free rations are to be discontinued. The news coincided with the beginning of a mammoth 10-day 'yagna' by 'eminent pundits' for the "salvation of the souls ot those who died". Among its prominent sponsors was the chief minister Motilal Vora who extended "full-fledged support''. It is indeed surprising that the Vora ministry had not included this major event in its 'relief plan* for the Bhopal disaster victims.
