Casual Approach to Oilcake Export NEW DELHI is reported to have drawn up a plan to raise the exports of deoiled meals from the present level of 1.5 million tonnes valued at Rs 237 crore to 2.35 million tonnes by the end of the Seventh Plan to earn about Rs 454 crore on the basis of current prices. The plan envisages an increase in the export of groundnut extraction from three lakh tonnes to five lakh tonnes, of soyabean meal from five lakh tonnes to 10 lakh tonnes, of rice bran meal from six lakh tonnes to 7.5 lakh tonnes and of cottonseed extraction from 90,000 tonnes to one lakh tonnes. An oil meals board which is proposed to be set up to boost exports of these four major extractions will also take care of exports of deoiled meals of other oilseeds
