Stock Market Buoyed by Institutional Investors
THE stock market has been fluctuating like the unpredictable weather, confounding even the most seasoned observers. The prevailing mood of buoyancy contrasts sharply with what the market looked tike towards the end of August when it appeared to be striving hard to set its feet firmly on the slippery slope and activity had dwindled to modest proportions. The mar-ket which had been on the retreat since about the middle of July and had retraced a little more than a third of the ground gained during the May-July upswing has staged a spectacular come-back and seems determined to explore altogether unexplored territories
