installing new machines. It has also undertaken a crash programme for building new houses for its 585 workers and dug deep tubewells for water supply to the labour lines. In this case, too, there has been very little outside financial help. The garden's main source of finance is through crop hypothecation to a commercial bank. At present, its liability is Rs 14 lakh loan from NABARD, repayment of which is due from 1987. The co-operative has not taken any subsidy or loan from any other source.
