THE political ramifications of the army's storming of the Golden Temple are difficult to envisage at this stage. The extent of Sikh resentment is not fully known nor whether it is likely to acquire any organised shape. Total censorship has been imposed in Punjab and the government media are clearly untrustworthy. One thing is already beginning to be clear, however.
