The Exim Bank is also exploring the possibility, together with other international financial agencies, of enabling Indian contractors to purchase equipment from third countries at subsidised rates of interest. There is also a need to explore the new markets that are emerging. Algeria is opening out as a new market and Indian companies, such as Indian Road Construction Corporation and the International Airports Authority of India, have already secured contracts of sizeable value there. Egypt is similarly emerging as a potential market for Indian companies.
