MAHARASHTRA-Bending Urban Land Ceiling

IN the next few days the government of Maharashtra is expected to announce its policy on surplus residential land under the Urban Land Ceiling Act. A committee of secretaries from the housing, urban development and other departments has been meeting to consider the options before the government, and chief minister, Vasantrao Patil has told the state assembly that a policy will be announced by April 25 or 26.
